Glossary - Definitions Of Common Terms
Here are some definitions of words and common terms such as dropshipper and business. We use our own knowledge, library journals, papers, books and the dictionary to finalise our own definitions.
- Dropship:
- To ship (goods) as a drop shipment. A process where by the retailer sells the product, and it is then sent directly to the customer by another company (dropshipper).
- Wholesale:
- The sale of goods in large quantity to retailers or jobbers for resale.
- Dropshipper:
- The company that sends physical products out directly to customers sold by online retailers.
- Retail:
- The sale of physical goods or a service to ultimate consumers (end user), usually in small quantity.
- Dropshipping:
- The process where by an online retailer sells a product, and a second company (dropshipper) then sends the product directly to the customer.
- Business:
- A commercial enterprise and the people within it.
